Blue Line First Anniversary : D’Banj celebrated his 20 years in the entertainment industry with passengers.

According to LAMATA, D’Banj offered to pay the transport fee of the commuters he rode with by crediting their Cowry Card.

D’Banj began his journey at the Leventis bus stop, where he boarded an electric bus to the Marina Train Station.

From there, he boarded the Blue Line train, traveling to the National Theatre station and back to Marina.

D’Banj celebrated his 20 years in the entertainment industry in style on September 4th by taking a ride in the Lagos rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line – the latter, which also clocked one year of passenger operations on the same day.

The Nigerian music star, born Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, began his journey at the Leventis bus stop, where he boarded an electric bus to the Marina Train Station. From there, he boarded the Blue Line train, traveling to the National Theatre station and back to Marina.

“D’Banj chose to celebrate with the Lagos State Government its efforts to improve the transportation system and share with Lagosians in their daily struggle on the BRT buses and the Blue Line,” the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) said in a statement.

During his visit, D’Banj was welcomed by Engr. Olasunkanmi Okusaga, Director of Rail at LAMATA. According to LAMATA, D’Banj offered to pay the transport fee of the commuters he rode with by crediting their Cowry Card.

“His presence not only delighted passengers but also highlighted the convenience and efficiency of Lagos’ public transportation network, showcasing the city’s progress in modernizing its infrastructure.”

In a video shared, the stylish 43-year-old singer reminisced on the use of the transport systems overseas, but described the opportunity to experience Lagos’ integrated transportation system impressive.
