BMW Group Delivered 1,214,864 Rolls-Royce, BMW And MINI Cars Betw Jan-June 2023
BMW Group delivered a total of 1,214,864 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce cars between January and June 2023.
The group’s sales for the second quarter reached 626,726 vehicles, a significant year-on-year growth of +11.3%.
BMW brand delivered 553,369 vehicles in Q2 while MINI brand delivered 71,816 cars to customers between April-June.
The Rolls-Royce Motors brand reported sales of 3,181 cars during the first half of 2023.
BMW Group has announced it delivered a total of 1,214,864 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles to customers worldwide between January and June of 2023 (+4.7%), while 626,726 vehicles were sold in the second quarter, a significant year-on-year growth of +11.3% for the company.
In the second quarter of 2023, the BMW Group delivered a total of 88,289 fully-electric BMW and MINI vehicles to customers, a figure that more than doubles its BEV sales from the same period of last year (+117.5%).
“Strong sales development in general and especially for our fully-electric vehicles, shows that we have the right products on the market at the right time,” said Pieter Nota, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for Customer, Brands and Sales.
“We are winning over customers worldwide with our young and attractive product line-up. Due to our diverse offering – ranging from highly efficient combustion engines to fully electric models – we are addressing the wide variety of customer needs around the globe in an ideal way,” Nota added.

BMW brand
In the second quarter, the BMW brand delivered 553,369 vehicles to customers worldwide (+11.5%), including 77,948 fully-electric BMW vehicles, which more than doubles its deliveries from the same period of 2022 by (+150.7%).
According to the BMW, the new 7 Series models, with the fully-electric BMW i7 variant, the new BMW X7, the BMW 4 Series as well as its fully-electric BMW i4, proved especially popular during this period.
MINI brand
The MINI brand delivered 71,816 vehicles to customers between April and June, an increase of +10.2% year-on-year. During the same period, sales of the brand’s fully-electric vehicles were up +8.8%.
The BMW Group’s MINI product line-up currently includes the first fully-electric MINI Cooper SE Convertible and the fully-electric MINI Cooper SE.
Rolls-Royce brand
During the first of 2023, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars reported sales of 3,181 cars across the globe, which is a decline of (-0.3%) compared to sales from the previous year due to the discontinuation of the Wraith and Dawn.
Between April and June (2nd Quarter), Rolls-Royce Motors sold 1,542 (-1.7%). But the British luxury marque said demand remains strong, especially for its fully-electric Spectre super Coupé with an order book that already reaches to the end of 2024.
