BYD Aims For 20 Percent Growth In 2024
It will not have escaped your attention that BYD is doing well. The Chinese brand would even aim for a sales target for 2024 that is 20 percent higher than last year.
Hardly a week goes by without new sales records or ambitions for BYD. No wonder, because the Chinese have only just started their European adventure and seem to be succeeding well in finding their way up here. Globally, things are also going to a crescendo with the Chinese car giant, a significant part of its global offering is fully electric. Although BYD does not officially communicate it, the company is aiming for a total of 3.6 million cars sold by 2024.
That figure, which was reported by insiders, would represent a growth of no less than 20 percent compared to 2023. Based on the 2023 figures from market analyst Focus2Move, this would mean an increase from tenth to eighth place in the world ranking of major car manufacturers, although the rest should not be standing still either. Meanwhile, BYD is undoubtedly also aiming for the title of ‘largest EV builder in the world’ by 2024, after defending champion Tesla was briefly overtaken in the fourth quarter of last year.
