Collapsed walls of a factory damages 17 vehicles, including an uninsured Rolls-Royce Ghost in China.

Vehicles belonged to a used car dealership and a car rental company, with the latter suffering the most damage.

Rental car owner said experts had concluded that Rolls-Royce Ghost had reached the end of its useful life.

At least 17 vehicles, including an ultra-luxury Rolls-Royce Ghost sedan, were severely damaged when the walls and pillars of an abandoned factory collapsed in Xi’an, northern China.

According to local report, the vehicles belonged to a used car dealership and a car rental company located in the factory, with the latter suffering the most damage.

Both companies estimate their losses to be nearly 3 million yuan (£340,000). Recently released video captures the massive damages done to the Rolls-Royce during the incident on April 28th 2023.

The crushed rental Rolls-Royce Ghost, which is the most expensive amongst the damaged vehicles, had its A, B, and C pillars bent by the falling bricks.

The owner of the rental company, Zhou Shaolong, said that several experts had concluded that Rolls-Royce with a damage suspension system had reached the end of its useful life.

While the cause of the wall’s collapse is currently under investigation, Zhou said that there was no significant wind before the incident, adding that the vehicles were uninsured.

A brand new Rolls-Royce Ghost ultra-luxury sedan worth over $350,000 now has a permanent home in the living room of a Chinese owner at the 44-floor of a penthouse in Shanghai.

The over 2.5 tons Rolls-Royce Ghost made the ascent while atop a custom built iron cage, which was then hoisted by a crane to the 44th floor of the high-rise building.

Footage shared shows as the British-made hand-built luxury car rises into the air and moment it was pulled into the penthouse. A man then took a short test-drive to show that the Rolls-Royce is drivable.
