Dubai Police Unveils 2nd-Gen AI-Powered ‘Ghiath’ Smart Patrol Based On Denza B8 Hybrid SUV

Dubai Police, in partnership with Al-Futtaim, launches second generation ‘Ghiath’ dubbed as the world’s most advanced police car.
Partnership aims to develop the 2nd-Gen ‘Ghiath’ smart patrol using the Denza B8 plug-in hybrid SUV—known as the Bao 8 in the Chinese market.
B8 features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and dual electric motors, allowing it to rocket from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds.
Dubai Police, in partnership with Al-Futtaim—the exclusive distributor of BYD in the UAE—has launched the second generation of its ‘Ghiath’ smart patrol vehicles dubbed as the world’s most advanced police car.
The partnership aims to develop the 2nd-Gen ‘Ghiath’ smart patrol vehicles using the Denza B8 plug-in hybrid SUV—known as the Bao 8 in the Chinese market—combining advanced security technologies, high performance and environmental sustainability.
Dubai Police said the new patrols will support police operations with more advanced smart vehicles that improve response times, enhance field operations and meet the evolving demands of future policing.

Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, said Dubai Police remains committed to expanding its fleet with advanced vehicles designed to deliver optimal performance across policing and security operations.
He added: “This strategic partnership reflects our commitment to harnessing innovation to develop sustainable security solutions that support Dubai’s future vision and contribute to building a smarter, more efficient and more sustainable security transport ecosystem.”
Available in 6-seater (captain’s chairs) or 7-seater configurations, the Denza B8 features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and dual electric motors, producing 603-hp and 760 Nm of torque, allowing the three-ton vehicle to rocket from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds.
While the second-generation ‘Ghiath’ smart patrol vehicles are based on the Denza B8, the first-generation model was built on the Chevrolet Suburban. Manufactured by Dubai-based supercar maker W Motors, the Chevrolet-based “Beast Patrol” SUV features rear-hinged suicide doors and numerous touchscreens throughout the front and rear cabins.
