FIA boss Mohammed Ben Sulayem takes newly delivered $4.6m Bugatti Bolide for a spin at Dubai Autodrome.

Sulayem, an Emirati former rally driver, is one of just 40 customers lucky to own the track-only Bugatti Bolide.

Powering the Bolide is an uprated version of the 8-liter quad-turbo W16 engine, which produces 1,824 horsepower.

It allows the track-only car to reach 60 mph from rest in 2.2 seconds and a top-speed ‘well above’ 310 mph (498 km/h).

Mohammed Ben Sulayem has shared a sneak peek into his track day event as the president of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) experiences the full force of his newly delivered Bugatti Bolide hyper sports car for the very first time at the Dubai Autodrome.

Sulayem, an Emirati former rally driver and motorsports executive, is one of just 40 customers lucky to own the track-only Bugatti Bolide, a small list of wealthy clients that also includes California real estate investor and Supercar Collector, Manny Khoshbin.

“Track day sneak peek…,” said Sulayem, who currently serve as president of FIA, the governing body of many auto racing events, including Formula One.

Bugatti had earlier announced that that owners will be able to enjoy their Bolide on-track through the ‘Feeling the Track’ events hosted by the French marque, which allows Bolide owners to experience the car’s track-focused capabilities firsthand.

“The ‘Feeling The Track’ event invited owners to explore this capability firsthand – the same capability that had once made Bugatti an unstoppable force in racing,” Bugatti said.

The Bugatti Bolide is limited to just 40 in the world, with each unit having a base price of four million euros ($4.6 million), before the numerous customization options available to Bugatti customers.

Powering the Bolide is an uprated version of the 8-liter quad-turbo W16 engine, which produces 1,824 horsepower, and allows the track-only car to reach 60 mph from rest in 2.2 seconds and a top-speed ‘well above’ 310 mph (498 km/h).
