Nigerians have created many homemade cars in recent years, but none seems to be more impressive in design like this vehicle built by a student of the Federal University of Technology Minna (Futminna).
Built from scraps and featuring a boxy design, the 2-seater and door-less vehicle called the ‘MERCZY SPORT‘, is reportedly the student’s final year project.
Not only does the vehicle has a windshield, Pagani-style wing mirror and bonnet, but it also has headlights, indicators as well as badgings — a nod that he could go places if given the necessary support to achieve his dreams.

We can’t say if it is a front-or-mid-engined powered and no details of the powertrain was given, but the ride, finished in black, is truly drivable, judging by the footage of the student taking it for a short cruise.
While most final year students settle for cheaper projects that often ends up in the school’s trash bins, this car will surely find a new home in Federal University of Technology Minna’s (Futminna) museum.
