G-Turn : Watch Four Electric Mercedes G-Wagon SUVs Do 720-degree ‘Tank Turn’
Mercedes-Benz showed off four (4) production prototypes of its upcoming electric G-Class SUV doing “tank turns”.
G-Turn maneuver is achieved when the all-electric vehicles four electric motors spins two times 360 degrees on its own axis.
Mercedes-Benz says that the G-Turn feature was developed specifically for off-roading and “must not be used on public roads.”
Zero-emission G-Class is expected to hit the roads in 2024 for the 2025 model year and likely as a 2026 model in Nigeria.
Mercedes-Benz has previously hinted that its upcoming electric G-Class will feature “tank turn”, a maneuver it dubbed “G-Turn” and achieved when all its four electric motors spins two times 360 degrees on its own axis.
Now, the German luxury car company has released a video showing four (4) camouflage production prototypes of its G-Class doing “tank turns” at the ongoing 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, US.

According to Mercedes, the “G-Turn” demonstration was done in closed-off section of the Las Vegas strip, adding that the feature was developed specifically for off-roading and “must not be used on public roads.”

The “G-Turn” feature will be available on the upcoming electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class, a zero-emission SUV that is expected to hit the roads in 2024 for the 2025 model year and likely as a 2026 model in Nigeria.
