Mercedes Files EQG 560 And EQG 580 Trademarks For Electric G-Wagon

According to the MB EQ Club post, Mercedes has filed for trademarks on the EQG 560 and EQG 580 nameplates for electric G-Wagon.
Mercedes plans to launch around 2024, shortly after the launch of EQE SUV and EQS SUV.
The go-anywhere G-Class popularly known as the G-Wagon is no doubt one of the most popular Mercedes-Benz vehicle on the market. Now, latest reports from MB EQ Club confirms that the automaker is currently working on an all-electric version of the boxy off-roader.
According to the MB EQ Club post, Mercedes has filed for trademarks on the EQG 560 and EQG 580 nameplates.
The two filings is for the upcoming electric G-Wagon that Mercedes plans to launch around 2024, shortly after the launch of EQE SUV and EQS SUV.

As with other EQ-badged fully-electric models, the designation on the filing will give an idea on the performance of the two EQG-badged electric variant the G-Wagons.
All current EQ-badged fully-electric models in Mercedes lineups, including the EQA, EQB, EQC and EQV, are all electric versions of existing gas-burning models.
While Mercedes-Benz hasn’t reveal details of the upcoming all-electric Mercedes G-Wagon, rumours say that it will have a 500 km. The electric G-Class will also has a lower 0-60mph than the G550 that does the same in 5.9 seconds.
