Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano commissions 5.2-kilometers Anambra International Airport road.

According to reports, the 5.2-km Anambra International Airport road has a minimum of thirty years life span.

It features drainage systems, two bridges, four box culverts, walkway on both sides, street lights, as well as road markings.

The commissioning comes 4 months after Obiano inaugurated the newly-built Anambra International Cargo/Passenger Airport.

Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, on Thursday, 24th February, 2022, officially commissioned the 5.2-kilometres Dual Carriage Anambra International Passenger/Cargo Airport Road.

The Governor, accompanied by his wife, Dr. Ebelechukwu Obiano, performed the commissioning at the road entrance by Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.

According to reports, the road has a minimum of thirty years life span. It features drainage systems, two bridges, four box culverts, walkway on both sides, street lights, as well as road markings.





Also present at the road commissioning ceremony were members of the state executive council, traditional rulers, Transition Committee Chairmen, political appointees, among others.

The road commissioning comes 4 months after Willie Obiano inaugurated the newly-built Anambra International Cargo/Passenger Airport located at Umueri in Anambra East Local Government Area.

The airport, which has 3.7km runway and 34.4m control tower, has been described by the state government in terms of facilities as one of the best in Sub-Saharan Africa.
