You can get the temporary Licence within 24 to 48 hours after submitting all required documents which includes the driving test certificate. However, the original driver’s Licence should be ready in 4 to 8 weeks.

But i applied for a drivers licence at the one at Anthony,Ikorodu rd,since over 3 weeks,i was told to wait till October for the temporary one,as it is,both temporary nor permanent hasn’t come out. What do you think is causing the delay?

That may be a very busy centre and they have backlogs but such inefficiency is unacceptable. You also need to verify the status of your driving test certificate as delays are usually caused by that.

Good quick response. Ok really going to the address advised close to surrender. How much will it cost me for the process. Because I was told by the Road safety guys that my present license is fake that I need to obtain the real one after spending 10k last year to get it. The basic cost for the driver’s licence is N6,350. Furthermore, you will pay additional charges and taxes which vary per state for revenue generation; these charges would increase the total cost to about N10,000.
Note that you may also need the driving school certificate at an average cost of N5,000.

Hello Mr Olajyde,
The best means I know is to visit their authorized office at BIR Office, Opposite Police Training College, Ikeja or FRSC Office, Ojodu.
