The Only Ferrari 250 GTO Finished In White Livery Just Sold For $38.5 Million

One-of-just 36 Ferrari 250 GTO and the only one finished in white livery just sold for $38.5m at the Mecum auctions.

250 GTO chassis 3729GT joins David Lee’s classic Ferrari collection that includes 330 GTS and 365 Daytona GTS.

Lee also has Yellow Ferrari Collection featuring 288 GTO and Ketchup Ferrari Collection that includes 288 GTO and LaFerrari Aperta.

Another rare Ferrari 250 GTO sports car from the 1960s that is revered by collectors as the ‘most desirable Ferrari of all time’ just sold for a hammer price of $38.5 million at the Mecum Kissimmee auctions in Florida on January 17 2026.

One of just 36 Ferrari 250 GTOs produced between 1962 and 1964, chassis 3729GT stands alone as the only one delivered in Bianco Special — the factory white livery — “a singular expression of individuality within the most exclusive fraternity in automotive history,” Mecum noted in its listing.

“I am humbled and honored to have achieved this goal. Thank you to @mecum_auctions and my broker @kcmvp @beverlyhillsmotoring for representing me at the auction,” wrote David S.K. Lee, the newest owner of the Ferrari 250 GT0.

“I am proud to be part of Ferrari’s history book as the newest custodian of this masterpiece. I have been collecting for a long time now and have had many goals. The big five in red. The big five in yellow. The F80. But the top of the mountain, the last infinity stone of Ferrari collecting is the 250 GTO.”

The rare Ferrari 250 GTO chassis 3729GT joins David Lee’s classic collection that includes iconic cars like the Ferrari 250 Lusso Competizione, Ferrari 275 GTB, Ferrari 330 GTS and Ferrari 365 Daytona GTS.

Lee also has Yellow Collection featuring Ferrari Yellow 288 GTO and Ferrari Yellow LaFerrari, Ketchup Collection that includes Ferrari Red 288 GTO and Ferrari Red LaFerrari Aperta and the Relish Collection​ that includes Ferrari Daytona SP3 ‘Tailor Made’.
