It Matches With U.S Rail System : California Transportation Secretary Applauds Lagos Blue Line

It matches with the U.S Rail System : Blue Line gets a thumbs up from California Transportation Secretary.
Toks Omishakin said this on October 4th 2024 during his ride on Lagos’ Blue Line, which marked one year last month.
He commended the Lagos State government for its significant strides in transportation development.
Blue Line has transported 2 million passengers since full passenger operations began on 4th September 2023.
First phase of Blue Line spans 37-km from Marina to Mile 2, covers 5 stations at Mile 2, Suru-Alaba, Orile Iganmu, National Theatre and Marina.
Toks Omishakin, the secretary of the California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA), on Friday October 4th 2024 (today), rode on Lagos’ Blue Line to experience the city’s growing transportation infrastructure.
Omishakin, who rode alongside the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Seun Osiyemi, was impressed by the quality of the Blue Line rail system.

The 4th Secretary of Transportation for the state of California stated that the Blue Line was on point with any American and European transit system. He commended the Lagos State government for its significant strides in transportation development.
Since full passenger operations began on 4th September 2023, the Blue Line operated by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has provided two (2) million passengers with a safe and speedy ride.
The Blue Line, one of the six rail lines identified in the state’s strategic transport master plan (STMP), has been a key component of the state’s efforts to improve urban mobility and reduce traffic congestion.
The first phase of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue spans 37-kilometre from Marina to Mile 2 and covers five stations at Mile 2, Suru-Alaba, Orile Iganmu, National Theatre and Marina.
