Jaguar Breaks Electric World Speed Record With This Battery-powered V20E Boat
Jaguar Vector Racing and Williams Advanced Engineering have broken the world electric speed record in a battery-powered boat called Jaguar Vector V20E .
The single-seater battery-powered boat was piloted by Jaguar Vector co-founder and technical director Peter Dredge at speeds of 88.62 miles per hour (142.60km/h) across eight miles of the Coniston Water lake ,breaking the previous record of 76.8 mph set ten years ago.
Jaguar didn’t reveal the exact technology used in the single-seater boat , but says it shares the same technology that Jaguar and Williams use in Formula E car.
Jaguar’s Formula E car is powered with a 54 kWh battery pack and a 250 horsepower electric motor.
