Lagos State Govt Calls For Collection Of Unclaimed Drivers’ Licence
The Lagos State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA) has called on members of the public who had applied for drivers’ licences but are yet to collect same to visit stations where they applied and processed their documents for collection.
A statement issued on Wednesday by the Deputy Director, Public Affairs in the Agency, Mrs. Ronke Famakinwa noted that the call became imperative in view of the mounting pile of unclaimed drivers licences in some of the Agency’s stations.

It, therefore, urged all those affected to visit any of its stations at Ojodu, Somolu, Ikorodu, Ojo, Epe, Ikeja, Apapa, Alaka, Agege, Sura, Iru Victoria Island, Alimosho and Coker-Aguda for the collection, adding that the stations would also be opened on Saturdays between the hours of 10.00am and 2.00pm in order to ease the process of collection for those who might not be available during weekdays.
The release emphasised that it is compulsory and legal for every motorist to carry a valid driver’s licence in the State just as it reiterated the need for motorists to desist from patronising touts and other unscrupulous individuals for licence processing.
