LASPA begins indiscriminate parking enforcement within Alausa, plans to extend it to other parts of the State.

Issued removal notices on vehicles parked on the kerbs, walkways, double parking and areas with “No Parking” signages.

Gives 24-hour ultimatum to owners of offending vehicles to evacuate them or have their vehicles towed away.

As part of efforts to rid of all forms of traffic congestion in the state, the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) on Monday July 28th began the enforcement on indiscriminate parking of vehicles within the State Secretariat in Alausa.

During the enforcement exercise at the Secretariat, the enforcement team of LASPA issued removal notices on vehicles wrongly parked on the kerbs, walkways, double parking and areas with the “No Parking” signages.

“The enforcement team of LASPA issued a 24-hour ultimatum to owners of the vehicles violating the State Parking Regulations to evacuate them or have their vehicles towed away,” LASPA said in a statement.

The State Parking Authority noted that some vehicle owners who are not officials of the State Government, but have their offices around the State Secretariat in Alausa, also make use of the Secretariat for parking, thereby, over stretching the facility.





LASPA also revealed that the enforcement on indiscriminate parking of vehicles will be extended to other parts of the State. It urges all Lagos residents to comply with the State Parking Regulations by imbibing a model parking culture which include : obey parking signs and avoid traffic obstruction.
