£245k Electric Range Rover, Lunaz Classic EV Costs The Price Of Rolls-Royce
UK firm Lunaz unveils classic electric Range Rover that starts at £245,000 (N125.9m, excluding local taxes).
It will available in standard and long-wheelbase versions as well as offered in both ‘Town’ and ‘Country’ specs.
Lunaz plans to build an initial run of 50 of these classic electric-powered SUVs.
Lunaz, known for ripping petrol engines out of classic cars and replacing them with electric-powertrain, has announced the availability of classic electric Range Rover.
The tuner, which has already electrified classic Jaguars and Bentleys, said the Range Rovers will be available in standard and long-wheelbase versions.
The luxury SUVs built in the ‘classic era’ between 1970 and 1994 will also be offered in both ‘Town’ and ‘Country’ specifications.
Town specs, designed for owners who want to be chauffeured around, focuses on rear-seat and driver comfort.
The Country specification features a four-wheel-drive system, anti-roll bars and uprated brakes. It is designed for customers who wants to take their electric SUV off-road.
The U.K.-based tuner hasn’t revealed details about the electric Range Rover’s powertrain, but it plans to build an initial run of 50 of the luxury SUVs.
Prices starts at £245,000 (or about N125.9 million), excluding destination cost and local taxes.
The electric Range Rover SUV isn’t the only classic car the tuner is currently working on.
Five months ago, Lunaz unveiled an electrified 1961 Rolls-Royce Phantom V that starts at $657,000; which is six times the value of the original 1961 car.
The battery-powered car comes with modern facilities like sat-nav, air-conditioning, television screens, USB charge ports and on-board WiFi.
Each of these cars will have a 120kWh battery pack that allows 300 miles on a full charge.
