JLR has already promised that the Range Rover EV will have all-terrain capabilities offered by the flagship Range Rover V8.

British luxury marque has finally shown off its upcoming electric Range Rover SUV without any camouflage as final-stage global testing of the battery-powered flagship gets under way ahead of its launch later this year.
New images shared by Land Rover shows the all-electric Range Rover undergoing cold weather testing on the frozen lakes of Sweden. From afar, the silent SUV looks almost identical to its gas-powered counterpart, though it will wear distinct exterior badges.

While some prototypes are being put through extremes temperatures as low as -40 degrees, another set would undergo testing in the grueling deserts of the Middle East at 122 degrees Fahrenheit.
The ongoing testing in the Arctic Circle follows a year of component test in extreme sub-zero temperatures as low as –40°C, which focused on the capability of the battery and Electric Drive Unit (EDU).

While the waiting list is now opened, the company is yet to announce the pricing for the electric Range Rover, though it is expected to cost more than its lookalike gas-powered version, which starts at $107,900.
