Lynk & Co Quits Subscriptions: Turn In Cars The Following Year

Lynk & Co. is ready for a new chapter. Subscriptions are no longer available. This means those will be discontinued. This means that anyone who drives their Lynk & Co 01 on a subscription basis will soon have to return their car.
Lynk & Co says it looks back on a successful year, expanding its portfolio with numerous new points of sale. Since 2024, the brand has grown from eleven “clubs” to 125 official points of sale. Lynk & Co also says it aims to grow in 2026. The retail model needs to be strengthened, and there’s no room for Lynk & Co subscriptions within that model. This has significant consequences for those currently using Lynk & Co subscriptions.
The Lynk & Co 01 was the only model available on a subscription basis. The electric 02 and the even younger plug-in hybrid Lynk & Co 08 were never designated as subscription-based. For good reason. Lynk & Co. is pulling the plug. They say this is happening gradually.
Lynk & Co will terminate all its subscription contracts in the first half of 2026. According to Lynk & Co., subscribers will receive a notice at least three months before their O1 is due. Anyone who fails to return their O1 will, of course, be pursued by a debt collection agency. Subscribers can purchase the car or apply for financing. Anyone who has expressed an interest in purchasing the car will receive a purchase agreement from Lynk & Co with the exact purchase price.
There is also positive news: the brand says it will retain the option to ‘share’ your Lynk & Co with others via the app and promises that it will present at least one new or updated model every year in the coming years.
