Mercedes-Benz is enhancing its electric cars with a major update called MBUX 2.6, reaching two million vehicles worldwide. This update introduces new features to improve navigation, especially for electric vehicle drivers.

One of the neatest additions is the Google Satellite View. It shows real pictures of the roads and buildings around in great detail. This makes it simpler to find a way, especially when driving in the countryside where there aren’t many signs. If the car already has the “Satellite View” option, it will update automatically.

Mercedes-Benz is introducing Live Alternative Routes for Navigation with Electric Intelligence, designed for electric vehicle (EV) drivers. This system calculates the best route to your destination, considering necessary charging stops, distance, traffic conditions, and charging time. It helps EV drivers choose the fastest and most efficient route and is compatible with electric cars featuring the second-generation MBUX system.

Mercedes-Benz is improving its voice assistant with ChatGPT technology. You can now ask it anything, from news to science and history, and it understands follow-up questions. This feature is available in three million Mercedes-Benz vehicles, including older MBUX models.

If you enjoy off-road driving in your new G580, Mercedes-Benz has a feature called Offroad Track within the Mercedes-Benz Stories app. It helps you find and share your favorite off-road routes. You can record your adventures with your phone while the car tracks data like hill steepness, speed, and location. Later, you can combine the video and this information to create a shareable recap. This feature works with vehicles equipped with the second-generation MBUX system.
