According to local reports, the owner of EV had only driven it five times before it was pulled into the sinkhole.
While the luxury EV was swallowed by the sinkhole, the car parked directly in front of it escaped without a scratch.

A footage shared shows the shocking moment a sinkhole swallows a Tesla Model Y fully electric, mid-size SUV worth $63,000 in Taiwan.
The incident, which took place on April 27 in Zhubei, was reportedly the sixth in the area, prompting Hsinchu County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke to call for a comprehensive investigation.
While the luxury Tesla Model Y EV parked on the side of the road was swallowed by the sinkhole, the car parked directly in front of it escaped without a scratch, according to the CCTV footage shared.
According to local reports, the owner of EV was unaware of the situation until his wife saw the incident online and immediately contacted him. He had only driven it five times before it was pulled into the sinkhole.
Reacting to the news, a Twitter user joked :
“This just proves how unsafe EVs are – the nickel in their batteries is attracted to the Earth’s magnetic core and being pulled underground as a result.”
Another said: “Wow. That’s crazy.” while a third pointed out : “Underground parking taking to the next level.”
