The Garfield Police Department in New Jersey has added an off-road-ready 2023 Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato to its fleet that will be deployed in their “Outrun Opioids” campaign, which focuses on opioid awareness, prevention, and access to treatment resources.
Wrapped in the Police Departments livery, the “Outrun Opioids” Lamborghini will be brought to community events, youth programs, and department functions as a visible reminder that help is available and that recovery starts with conversation.

In addition to its flashing lights, the “Outrun Opioids” Lamborghini features a QR code that provides real-time guidance, referrals, and support for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder.

The “Outrun Opioids” is done in partnership with Lamborghini Paramus, with the police department noting that the $310,000 Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato supercar wasn’t purchased with the taxpayers money.
“This vehicle is used exclusively for education and outreach, NOT patrol or enforcement, and the entire initiative comes at NO COST to the taxpayers of the City of Garfield. **Vehicle was not purchased by Garfield Police and remains property of Lamborghini Paramus**, said in a statement.

“Our first public unveiling will take place at the 37th Annual PBA Toy Drive on December 18 at the Closter Fire House. We invite the community to come see the vehicle, ask questions, and learn more about available resources and bring an unwrapped toy.”
