Meet Nigerian Female Biker Who Rode From Lagos To Onitsha And Back To Lagos In 17 Hours
Fehintoluwa Okegbenle is a Nigerian female biker who previously rode on her bike for 13 hours from Lagos to Abuja. This time around, it’s another feat; she rode from Lagos to Onitsha and then back to Lagos in just 17 hours. She took to Twitter to celebrate this her recent achievement.
In her tweet, she wrote;
Lagos to Asaba-Onitsha-Lagos in 1 day on 2 wheels.
A spontaneous trip, and trust me when I say it is not for the faint hearted, This beats my Abuja ride so far.
I clocked in 1000km. Left home at 5am and got back at 10pm… 17hrs in total including all stops
It was super fun!
The 1000km ride took place on Thursday, December 4 2020.
This kind of journey as we all know is not for the faint-hearted considering the risks involved. The bad roads, terrible road users, highway robbers and lots more. Yet again, we applaud her courage for pulling this through.
In her tweet, she went further to state she’s very much aware of the risk involved but she can’t help it because ot is something she’s passionate about.
She wrote;
I understand the concerns, I know the risks and all.
It’s a passion for me.
It’s pure love and joy
She got many reactions after posting this on her Twitter account. Some said it’s stressful and total waste of time and energy. Some said it is very risky considering the security issues we have in the country at the moment. There were positive reactions too; someone suggested that she get body cam to record her trips and possibly upload on Youtube for people to watch.
