Nissan Presents The All New 2025 Murano SUV

Nissan presented today the all-new 2025 Murano, whose sales according to current announcements should start at the beginning of next year.

Considering the outgoing Murano debuted in 2015, we suspect some might call the new model overdue. Everyone can call it bigger, albeit slightly—the fourth-gen crossover is 2.6 inches wider and has nearly 2 extra inches of ground clearance. Overall length and height are nearly identical to the outgoing model, with the same 111.2-inch wheelbase. This translates to similar interior dimensions with slightly less legroom (36.3 inches) in the back versus a bit more legroom (44.3 inches) upfront.

Along with the more modern look of the exterior modelled after the newer models of this brand (including the V-Motion theme of the front part), the interior has undergone major changes as well. The already mentioned displays define the interior, and we should also mention digital and haptic controls similar to the Ariya model, ProPilot Assist 1.1, Invisible Hood View for efficient “viewing” through the engine compartment and a 3D intelligent camera.

The digital driver display can be configured for multiple displays, and an optional colour head-up display is available on certain trim levels. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard equipment, and with an extra charge, a Bose stereo with 10 speakers.

Powering this model is Nissan’s VC-Turbo variable-compression-ratio 2.0-liter four-cylinder; it produces 241 horsepower and 261 pound-feet of torque in this application. A nine-speed automatic takes over for the CVT. Front-wheel drive is standard on the base SV trim level; all-wheel drive is optional on the SV but standard on the SL and Platinum models.

Prices for the 2025 Murano will be announced later, closer to its release date.
