Okadas Are Back On Major Roads In Lagos! (PHOTOS)

They are back!
Indeed, commercial motorcycles – popularly referred to as “Okada” – are back on major roads in Lagos.
In November 2017, this mode of public transport was outlawed by the Lagos state Government.
Then, the Lagos State Government released hundreds of routes where motorcycles and tricycles (aka Okada and Keke NAPEP) are banned. These routes were mostly major roads and expressways.
However, today, as it has become customary, especially in days leading to elections – the regulation and enforcement of Okada activities have been significantly relaxed.
Perhaps, this explains why roads in Lagos state have become extremely tumultuous.
