PTML Customs Generates N239B In 9 Months, Sustains 2-hour Clearance Time For Vehicles
PTML Customs Command Generates N239B in 9 months, a recorded a 29 percent increase compared to last year.
Command said bulk of the revenue were recorded in July 2024, during which N33 billion was collected as revenue.
Boasts of sustaining the two-hour record-breaking clearance time for compliant Roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) cargoes.
On anti-smuggling, it made seizures, including ammunition hidden in imported vehicle and 2,500 pieces of used motorcycles.

The Port and Terminal Multi-Services Limited (PTML) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) said it generated over N239 billion as total revenue from January to September 2024, which is a recorded a 29 percent increase compared to last year.
In a statement on Monday October 21, PTML Customs Command noted that the bulk of the revenue were recorded in July 2024, during which N33 billion was collected by the Command as revenue.
“That record is the highest collected by the command this year so far, and we are optimistic about surpassing it before the end of the year, as positive signs indicate the result of constant review and evaluation of our revenue collection mechanism,“ said Comptroller Tenny Daniyan, while speaking to pressmen.
Speaking further, Daniyan said the dispute resolution committee’s strategic approach in handling trade disputes has helped sustain the two-hour record-breaking clearance time for compliant Roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) cargoes, which includes vehicles and rolling cargo.

He appealed to stakeholders on the need for compliance and to take advantage of products put in place by the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC).
On anti-smuggling, the CAC disclosed that the command made seizures, including ammunition hidden in imported vehicle and over 2,500 pieces of used motorcycles, with a total duty paid value of over N28 billion (N28,478,034.76).
Some of the items were handed over to the representative of Nigeria Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA), as directed by the CGC.
While appreciating officers & men of the service for their resilience & professionalism in discharging their duties, the CAC also commended compliant private sector stakeholders for their collaboration.
