How To Reset Maintenance Required Light In 2010-2015 Lexus RX350 After Oil Change

This article shows you the steps for resetting the maintenance required light on the dashboard of Lexus RX350 SUV. The procedure is same for third generation Lexus RX250 (2010 – 2015).
The Toyota Corolla’s ‘maint reqd’ light simply means a service interval has been met. And this means engine oil is due for change. It comes on 5,000 miles after the last time it was reset.
This light comes on strictly as a function of those miles; it has no way of knowing whether your oil has or hasn’t been changed in the interim, and it never, ever is an indication of something being wrong.
Below are the steps you should follow to reset the maintenance required light in your 2010 – 2015 Lexus RX350 SUV.
1.Turn the ignition switch to the ON position
Press the START button twice without depressing the brake pedal
2. Press the ODO/TRIP button on the left of the steering wheel until you’re on the TRIP A
3. Turn off the ignition
Your foot should be off the brake pedal and then pushing the Start/Stop switch until it powers down
4. Press and hold the ODO/TRIP button while turn on the ignition again.
Remember not to step on the brake pedal. Press the start button two times.
5. Continue to hold down the ODO/TRIP button
You’ll see the blinking backwards light then it changes to zero.
The maintenance required light has just been reset!!!
