Stellantis Confirms The New Dodge Charger Will Be Available In Europe
Stellantis has officially confirmed that all new versions of the new Charger, including sedan and coupe with conventional and electric drivetrains, will be available in Europe and the Middle East from 2025.
Muscle car enthusiasts in the aforementioned regions will soon have access to the full range of the new Charger, with sales expected to begin late next year. While this won’t appease traditionalists following the “retirement” of the Challenger name, the elimination of the Hemi V8 engine, and the introduction of electric drive, it does signal that Dodge is trying to get its hands on export markets.
The company has clearly stated that sales in Europe and the Middle East through importers will begin in the second half of 2025.
It is not yet known which versions of the Charger will arrive in the aforementioned markets first, but it is known that all four variants, including two-door and four-door body versions, will be available with internal combustion engines and electric drive.
The first Charger of the new era in the US is a two-door electric Charger known as the Charger Daytona, which is available in two configurations. The base model has two electric motors, developing 462 hp and 547 Nm of torque, and is powered by a 100.5 kWh battery. For those who want even more power, there is the Daytona Scat Pack with 639 hp and 849 Nm and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.3 seconds.
Those who want a SUS engine can choose between the Charger coupe and sedan equipped with the 3.0-liter Hurricane 6-cylinder engine. There are two configurations; the base model develops 426 hp and 637 Nm of torque, while the more powerful version offers 558 hp and 746 Nm.
Unfortunately, it seems that a manual transmission will not be offered, as both models should have a new 880RE eight-speed automatic transmission based on the fourth-generation ZF transmission, which will replace the outgoing TorqueFlite 8HP70 transmission installed in the previous Charger and Challenger.
