Toyota reveals Land Cruiser Prado 70th Anniversary Edition to commemorates the 70 strong years of the Land Cruiser SUV.

The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 70th Anniversary Edition comes kitted with a range of comfort and luxury features found on the L Package variant.

Japanese automaker Toyota has revealed the Land Cruiser Prado 70th Anniversary Edition to commemorates the 70 strong years of the Land Cruiser SUV.





The special anniversary edition is the last batch of the outgoing Land Cruiser Prado as Toyota plans to release an all-new model in few days times.

The new limited-edition SUV comes kitted with some cosmetic upgrades to help distinguish it from the regular model. These includes a range of comfort and luxury features found on the L Package variant.

On the outside, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 70th Anniversary Edition rides on black-dipped 12-spoke 18-inch wheels and comes with black inserts in the grille, mirror caps, headlight trim, fog light surrounds, roof rails, and rear hatch trim.





Inside, 70th Anniversary badges as well as floor mats with the special edition’s logo distinguishes it from regular model. There are Saddle Tongue light brown leather upholstery over the seats, knee pads, centre console, and door panels.

Powering the Prado 70th Anniversary Edition is a 2.8-litre diesel as well as a 2.7-litre petrol engine. These engines are already found on the Toyota Fortuner SUV.

 

All Toyota Prado’s comes with several advanced safety features that is designed to help protect drivers, occupants and pedestrians from crash. These includes Toyota Safety Sense [S1], Pre-Collision Safety system, Reversing cameras, Automatic High Beam, Road Sign Assist, Active Cruise Control – High Speed and Lane Departure Alert.

In Japan, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 70th Anniversary Edition starts at ¥4.29 million (roughly N16.1 million) for the petrol-powered 5-seater model.

The 7-seater diesel variant goes up to ¥5.12 million (around N19.2 million). In Nigeria, the Prado 70th Anniversary Edition will cost nearly twice when the cost of shipping and local taxes are added.
