Vehicle belonging to LASTMA anti-one way squad collided with a LASG staff bus while driving against traffic in Ikeja, Lagos.
But the LASG staff bus, reportedly loaded with passengers, was ‘driving on the dedicated BRT lane’ at the time of crash.
The anti one-way sqaud was set up by the LASG to arrest and impound vehicles plying one-way and BRT lanes.
A pickup truck belonging to the anti-one way squad of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) collided with a staff bus on Saturday while reportedly driving against traffic in Ikeja, Lagos.
In one of several videos making the rounds, one of the passengers inside the staff bus alleged that the LASTMA anti-one way truck almost crushed passengers in their vehicles to death. Thankfully, no life was lost during the incident.
Footage taken at the scene of crash shows the LASTMA’s pickup truck with a crumbled bonnet. The staff bus, which was reportedly loaded with passengers and ‘driving on the dedicated BRT lane’ at the time of crash, also suffered minor damages.
The anti one-way sqaud was set up by the Lagos State Government in 2020 to arrest and impound vehicles plying one-way, BRT lanes and also commercial motorcycles operating in restricted areas.
