It is believed that this Chiron is a prototype car without Bugatti’s 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine.

Footage posted to Supercar.Fails Instagram page shows a Volkswagen van pulling a likely broken down Bugatti Chiron hyper sports car worth $4 million with a tow rope.

Supercar.Fails didn’t say the reason why this 1-of-500 Chiron hypercar was being pulled other than the caption that reads : “When you have a $4 million car but it doesn’t work…”

Pulling a vehicle with a tow rope is not the safest option. Employing the services of a car trailer or a tow dolly would have offered a greater stability and safety compared to a tow rope.

A run through the comments by Autojosh suggest that this Chiron is likely a prototype car without the Bugatti’s famous 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine.

This engine – the only 16-cylinder engine in the world to be used in a car – makes a whopping 1500 Horsepower and 1600Nm of torque, allowing the Chiron to do the 0-60 mph run in just 2.3 seconds and a top speed of 261 mph.

Some eagled users also believed that this Chiron was being pulled as it is now allowed to drive on the German highway because it doesn’t have registration (plate) number.
