Last month’s record rainfall in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and neighbouring Oman couldn’t stop the driver of a Nissan Patrol from taking their trusted SUV for a comfort ride on the flooded streets of Dubai.

In a video shared, the Nissan Patrol was seen driving through a huge flood filled with many broken down cars, which is one of the reasons while the high-riding and off-road-ready SUV is one of the most popular truck in the desert Emirates.

While the Nissan Patrol was able to pass through the floods without a sweat, the same cannot be said for several examples of Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUVs, including a Mansory variant, which met their untimely ends in the flood waters.

Like the Nissan Patrol SUV, a limited-edition Pagani Utopia Hypercar (one of just 99 examples) worth over $2.5 million was also filmed driving through a small body of still water.

These clips are part of a series which highlighted the historic levels of rainfall that caused damaging floods in several parts of the United Arab Emirates and neighbouring Oman.

The massive flood from last month’s record showers also drowned many other high-end vehicles in Dubai, a city known for its hypercars, including several Rolls-Royce Dawns and Ghost.
