Xiaomi unveils SU7 Ultra to break 4-door electric sedan records at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife track in October.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype is a high-performance version of the Chinese company’s production SU7.

Its powertrain provides a maximum horsepower of 1548-hp – making the SU7 Ultra more powerful than the Bugatti Chiron. 

Xiaomi’s SU7 Ultra can reach 60 mph (100 km/h) in just 1.97 seconds and a maximum speed that can exceed 350 km/h.





The fastest EV sedan record is currently held by the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with a lap time of 7:07.55 minutes.

Xiaomi Corporation on Friday July 19th held its annual event in Beijing, where its Chairman, Lei Jun, revealed that a decision by the Trump administration to sanction the Chinese company in early 2021 led it into the lucrative electric vehicle (EV) market.

Also at the event, Lei Jun surprisingly unveiled the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype, a high-performance 4-door electric sedan specially designed to break the lap record at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife track.





The SU7 Ultra is based on the Chinese company’s production SU7. Unlike the base SU7, it features enlarged front-splitter as well as a massive carbon fiber rear wing to generate up to 2,145 kg of downforce.

Also, the SU7 Ultra prototype is equipped with a V6s motor and two Xiaomi’s newly announced HyperEngine V8s motors, which each of the latter producing up to 578-hp and 635 lb ft. The setup provides a maximum horsepower of 1548-hp – making the SU7 Ultra more powerful than the iconic Bugatti Chiron.

The SU7 Ultra prototype’s powertrain allows it to reach 60 mph (100 km/h) in just 1.97 seconds, 124 mph (0-200 km/h) in only 5.96 seconds and a maximum speed that can exceed 350 km/h.

Xiaomi aims to set a new record for in the four-door electric sedan class at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife track in October, a record currently held by Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, which accomplished that feat in 7:07.55 minutes.
