YangWang Uses Six U9s To Show Off 360° Tank-turn, Weeks After Mercedes Used 4 Electric G-Class’ To Do “G-Turn”
BYD’s YangWang uses six U9 SUVs to show off 360-degree tank-turn, weeks after Mercedes-Benz used four Electric G-Class’ to do “G-Turn”.
It comes weeks after Mercedes released a video showing four (4) camouflage production prototypes of its G-Class doing “G-Turn”.
In addition, YangWang U8 can drive sideways. It also has a “float mode” that allows it to navigate through water during emergencies.
Defender-style YangWang U8 luxury SUV is priced from $145,000 and available in Premium and Off-road Master Edition.
U8 Electric SUV is expected to rival the upcoming 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQG (all-electric G-Class) that is set to arrive this year.
YangWang, the Chinese luxury electric car brand owned by BYD Auto, has used six (6) U8 electric SUVs to showcase its 360-degree tank-turn ahead of its official launch later this on February 25th.
In addition to the tank-turn, the 1,100 horsepower U8 off-roader can also drive sideways, a motion produced by rotating its front and rear tyres in opposite directions on both sides.
The premium U8 SUV also has a “float mode”, which allows drivers to navigate through water (and float on water for 30 minutes) during emergencies.
Other impressive features includes a crab mode as demonstrated by Hummer EV, plus the ability to keep driving at up to 75 mph (120 km/h) with a flat tyre – a feature that is seen on the run-flat tyres.
Priced from $145,000 and available in Premium and Off-road Master Edition, the Defender-style YangWang U8 ultra-luxury SUV is expected to rival the upcoming 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQG (all-electric G-Class) that is set to arrive this year.
