2022 Brussels Motor Show Has Been Canceled,
Due to a pandemic, the 2022 Brussels motor show has been canceled.
According to the event’s organizers, the cancelation is due to the increasing coronavirus situation in Belgium and the impending announcement of harsher Covid-19 regulations in the country.
The show will now take place in 2023, with the goal of commemorating the program’s 100th anniversary.
The show was planned to celebrate its 99th anniversary in January, but it now appears that it will be rescheduled for January 2023.
“We predict that the worsening health situation, as well as the impending imposition of specific limitations, would prevent us from accommodating the planned number of guests in optimal conditions,” said Andreas Cremer, president of the Belgian Federation of Bikes and Automobiles (FEBIAC).
The notification also stated that the revised show would strive to commemorate the exhibition’s 100th anniversary. A new announcement is planned in the near future.
The occasion will be accompanied by the debut of a new digital platform that will answer inquiries from drivers and bikers.
The Brussels motor show, which is held every two years and was first hosted in 1902, is a smaller event than those held in Munich and Geneva.
The 2022 event, which was scheduled to take place from January 15 to January 23, was projected to draw a big number of automotive manufacturers.
The Range Rover Evoque, Ford Mondeo Hybrid, and Hyundai i40 facelift all made their premieres at the show in 2019, as did other European debuts, including the Mazda 3, Volvo S60, BMW S70, and Porsche 911 992-generation.
