2023 Headies : Next Rated Winner, Asake, Walks Home With Mercedes G-Class, Flaunt His ₦200M SUV
2023 Headies Awards : Asake clinches two prestigious awards : the Next Rated award and the Album of the Year.
As this year’s Next Rated winner, Asake walked home with a brand new Mercedes G-Class SUV worth over ₦200 million.
The singer’s latest boxy ride isn’t the base G550, but the high-performance Mercedes-AMG G63.
‘Next Rated’ is awarded for most promising upcoming act in the year under review.
Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake on September 3rd emerged the winner of ‘Next Rated Artiste’ at the 2023 Headies Award, which took place at the Cobbs Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, United States.
Asake’s “Mr Money With The Vibe” also clinched the Album of the Year during the 16th Headies, beating other talented artistes like Davido (Timeless), Rema (Rave & Roses), Burna Boy (Love, Damini) and Omah Lay (Boy Alone).
‘Next Rated’ is awarded for most promising upcoming act in the year under review. As the winner of the highly coveted ‘Next Rated’ award, Asake, fondly called Mr Money by his fans, went home with a brand new Mercedes-Benz G-Class (aka G-Wagon) luxury SUV worth over ₦200 million.
Mercedes-AMG G63
Few days after clinching the Next Rated, Asake took to his Instagram page to flaunt his Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV. The singer’s latest boxy ride isn’t the base G550, but the high-performance Mercedes-AMG G63.
His G63 rides on 20-inch wheels and comes standard with Nappa leather interiors, 10-way power adjustable front seats with heating, 590-watt sixteen speaker sound system, voice activated controls and 20-inch wheels.
This AMG-badged G63 is powered by a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V-8 engine, which gives 577 horsepower. It is mated to a 9-speed automatic that sends power to all four wheels.
