Chevrolet said an off-road-ready ZR2 model will join the HD trim lineup later in the model year for the first time.
2024 Silverado HD goes on sale in the first half of 2023. Pricing will be announced closer to their on-sale date.
The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD lineup — the 2500HD and 3500HD — are heavily-refreshed, arriving with a brand new interior, powertrain upgrades and a more commanding presence paired with enhancements to its revolutionary trailering technology.
On the outside, the 2024 Silverado HD heavy-duty pickups, from the base-level Work Truck to the top-of-the-line High Country, gets a redesigned grille and a new LED headlamps. Additional exterior updates include standard tow hooks, and “CHEVROLET” lettering featured on the hood scoop.
The ’24 Silverado HD also gets new wheel options, including a chrome 20-inch wheels for the LTZ as well as polished 18-inch wheels and all-terrain tyres for the 3500HD LTZ and standard on 3500HD High Country.
Inside, the LT trim and above gets new configurable 12.3-inch gauge cluster, a 13.4-inch touchscreen with Google-based software and apps, as well as a new center console with a wireless charger.
“We’ve designed the Silverado HD to be our customers’ favored choice for true truck capability,” said Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet.
“The enhancements to the 2024 model build on its core strengths to provide an even stronger balance of the design, strength and confidence that makes tackling the hard jobs, including trailering, easier and more convenient than ever.”
The whole lineup now has a standard 10-speed Allison automatic transmission paired with a 6.6-liter gasoline V8, and the optional 6.6-liter Duramax diesel.
Max towing capacity for the 2500 increases by 2,000-pound to 26,000 pounds, while the Silverado 3500 dually remains at 36,000 pounds.

In addition, the company announced that the heavy-duty Silverado will be getting a version of the off-road-ready ZR2 model for the first time ever, but it’ll launch sometime after the regular trucks.
