Toyota Marks 20 Years Of The Prius With A 2020 Edition Model (Photos)

The Toyota Prius has come a long way and its popularity in the international market is alarming. First introduced in 1997, it was not until the year 2000 that the Prius was brought to the world. And as they say, the rest is history as it has grown from strength to strength over the years. The Prius has won numerous award and has been declared the cleanest vehicle at one time.
The 2020 Edition Prius comes with new designs to commemorate its 20th anniversary and will be available in a Supersonic Red or Wind Chill Pearl exterior paint finish. The Prius 2020 Edition has black exterior trim that sets it apart from the rest of the lineup. It also rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. The unique floor mats, black gearshift lever and A-pillar trim, smoked HVAC vents and ‘2020’ key fob round up the special looks of the car. All 2021 Prius will come fitted with Toyota’s new Safety Sense 2.0 which includes a pre-collision system with low-light pedestrian detection, bicyclist detection, full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert, automatic high beams, and road sign assist.
The Toyota Prius is exceptionally fuel-efficient, and that’s not expected to change for 2021. Toyota is once again estimating 54/50 mpg city/highway for the standard version. Buyers will also have the choice of the Prius AWD and Prius Prime plug-in hybrid.
