Police Says Tiger Woods Was Driving 87mph On 45mph Road During Near-fatal SUV Crash
Police says Tiger Woods won’t be cited for driving 87mph on a 45mph road during near-fatal SUV crash.
In addition, Police said his failure to maintain the curvature of the road caused him to lose control of the SUV.

Police has revealed that Tiger Woods won’t be cited for driving 84 to 87 miles per hour on a 45mph road during a near-fatal crash in February.
During a press conference on Wednesday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Woods was going about 40 miles per hour over the speed limit when he crashed his Genesis GV80.

Golf legend Tiger Woods injured in serious rollover car crash in California
According Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva, the speed was the primary cause of the February 23 crash. He said at the time of impact, Woods was driving about 75 miles an hour.
“The primary causal factor for this traffic collision was driving at a speed unsafe for the road conditions and the inability to negotiate the curve of the roadway.”

Villanueva added that the golf legends failure to maintain the curvature of the road caused him to lose control of the SUV, which led to the rolled over.
LASD Captain James Powers, added that :
“The car’s so-called ‘black box’ data recorder showed Woods engaged the accelerator and never applied the brake during the incident. That could indicate he may have mistakenly hit the wrong pedal while trying to control the car.”

The crash report comes 7-weeks after Woods was involved in single-car crash that left him hospitalized with a fractured leg and shattered ankle.
The 45 year old 15-time major champion, who the LASD said was “fortunate to be alive”, was released from hospital earlier this month.
