Nigeria’s leading airline Max Air leaves passengers stranded at Lagos Airport for over five hours without any explanations or apologies.

The delayed flight happened on Saturday and it left hundreds of passengers stranded at Lagos MM2 Airport for hours.

According to reports, many of the passengers were forced to sleep on chairs and the floor at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos.

The ground staff and officials of the regulatory bodies – the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) also reportedly abandoned the passengers.

The wait for the expected flight reportedly lasted for over five hours without any explanations or apologies.

The flight on Saturday 21st August 2021 which was first scheduled for 5.20 pm was moved to 7.50 pm and three times later up to 11.45 pm when the airline stopped any public announcements of movements.

As of 1.30 am, the passengers were still at the airport unattended. With the curfew imposed in Lagos, many of the passengers could not leave the airport.
