Last week, Taiwan-based Apple iPhone maker, Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn), introduced three electric vehicles, including the impressive Foxtron Model E sedan, designed in collaboration with famous Italian design house, Pininfarina.

Foxconn didn’t reveal too much about the Model E during the unveiling, but a new video on the Pininfarina YouTube channel sees Kevin Rice, Chief Creative Officer Pininfarina, take us around the technologically innovative luxury flagship sedan.

As you will expect from a futuristic car, the Model E’s exterior design has “smart surfaces” on the front and rear fascias that allows it to interact with the environment, including its ability to direct cyclists, pedestrians and motorists.

In addition to the ‘smart surfaces’, joined by facial recognition systems that allows users to unlock the Model E, the EV also has flush door handles as well as side-view cameras stuck on the doors.

Inside, the sedan boast a state-of-the-art and advanced features, including leather seats and a central piece wrap-around screens containing the instrument cluster and infotainment screen.

Pininfarina says the Foxtron Model E delivers 750 horsepower (559 kilowatts) and will go 750 kilometers (435 miles) on full charge. It will hit 62 miles per hour (100km/h) in a claimed 2.8 seconds.

The Model E luxury flagship sedan is the first strategic collaboration between Foxconn and Pininfarina. Details remain slim on many of the Model E’s features, but the sedan and the other two electric vehicles are scheduled to go on sale in 2023.
