Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin leaves the Balmoral Castle as Her Majesty begins her last journey.
The hearse, in a convoy of six other vehicles, will travel at a stately pace through Aberdeenshire countryside to Aberdeen.
Her Majesty’s final journey will eventually end at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where she will be buried.


A Mercedes-Benz Hearse carrying the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II, covered with the Royal Standard of Scotland and a flowers, began a six-hour journey to the Scottish capital of Edinburgh on Sunday.
Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin will travel by road through Scottish towns and villages as it begins its final journey from her beloved Scottish retreat of Balmoral.


With a single motorbike outrider leading the way and six vehicles following, the hearse will travel at a stately pace through the stunning Aberdeenshire countryside to Aberdeen.

The Queen, who died on September 8, will be taken to the Palace of Holyrood House before lying at rest in St Giles’ Cathedral, before travelling onwards to London for her funeral.
Her Majesty’s poignant final journey will eventually end at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where she will be buried alongside her beloved husband, Prince Philip, alongside her father, George VI, the Queen Mother, and her sister, Princess Margaret.
