Watch As Hawks Attacks Made-in-Nigeria Drone Being Tested By Nord's Naerospace (Video) - autojosh

Watch as flock of hawks attacks a remotely controlled Made-in-Nigeria drone being tested By Nord Automobile’s Naerospace.

Incident happen while Naerospace R&D team were test-running the drone, which was designed and built in the country by Nigerians.

Nord gave the hint of starting a drone company during the inauguration of Automotive Complex built in partnership with UNILAG.





Last week, Oluwatobi Ajayi, the Chairman/CEO of Nord Automobile Limited, announced the launch of Naerospace that will produce commercial Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), popularly known as drones.

In a tweet posted on his verified Twitter account on Friday, Oluwatobi Ajayi said :

“I am pleased to inform you that we have started a new company @flynaerospace that produces unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which we popularly call drones.

The auto pilot software was designed and developed by us here in Nigeria by brilliant Nigerians, wholly owned by us.”

In a follow up tweet, the CEO of Nord Automobile shared a video as Naerospace Research and Development (R&D) team test-ran a drone, which was designed and built in the country by Nigerians.





The test-run was going as planned until uninvited guests, a flock of hawks, came into the scene and started gathering around the remotely controlled drone to attack it.

Lagos-based Nord Automobile Limited first gave the hint of starting a Drone company last month during the inauguration of ultra-modern Automotive Complex built in partnership with University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Nord’s Automotive Complex inside University of Lagos (UNILAG) houses a research and development center, automobile assembly plant, showroom and after-sales workshop.

Speaking on the drone project during the inauguration of Nord’s Automotive Complex, the Chief Executive Officer of Nord, Oluwatobi Ajayi, said that most of the components needed for the drone project are readily available in Nigeria.

“We also have Nord aerospace here. We designed the drones ourselves; nobody can shut us down; no country can shut us down because the software was designed here in Nigeria by young Nigerians,” he said.
