Lists Of Vehicles, Personalities, Companies That Picked Up Prizes At 2022 Nigeria Auto Journalists Association Awards
Here is the lists of vehicles, personalities and companies that picked up prizes at the 2022 Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) awards.
The much-anticipated 2022-edition of the auto industry award was held earlier in the month with GAC GS4 compact crossover SUV edging out Suzuki S-Presso and Geely Coolray to clinch the most coveted prize of the Car-of-the-Year.
Over 30 awards were given in various categories at this year’s Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) awards, which had stakeholders in the Nigerian auto industry in attendance.
Other awardees at the auto event included auto brands such as Range Rover, Suzuki and Geely as well as dealership like Lanre Shittu Motors, CFAO Motors, Jet Systems and Auto-financing firm, Autochek.
Below is the full list of vehicles, personalties and companies that picked up prizes at this year’s 2022 Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) Awards held in Lagos.
Range Rover (Autobiography) clinched the Luxury SUV of the Year trophy
Mercedes-Benz brand marketed by Weststar Associates Ltd in Nigeria emerged as the Luxury Brand of the Year
Toyota Land Cruiser emerged as the sports utility vehicle (SUV) of the Year
Toyota Hilux was awarded the Pickup of the Year
Toyota also won the minibus-of-the-year award
Foton View C2 won Chinese Bus of the year award
Suzuki S-Presso clinched the Budget Car of the Year
JAC J7 sedan marketed by Elizade Nigeria Ltd won Outstanding Auto Design Vehicle of the Year.

Lanre Shittu’s JAC truck plant won the Truck plant of the Year in addition to clinching the Large Truck of the Year
Nnewi-based Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) bagged the Assembly Plant of the Year award
Mikano’s showroom on Victoria Island (V.I) Lagos State won the Showroom of the Year award
Stallion’s Bajaj 3-wheeled vehicle was clinched the Three-wheeler of the year. The firm was also named multi-brand assembler of the year.
Jet Systems Motors, which makes Jet Mover Electric Van, received the Electric Auto Company of the Year.
Micking was awarded the Oil Brand of the Year.
NORD Automobiles Limited won the Best Innovative Auto Company
Auto-financing firm, Autochek, was awarded as Best in Online Auto Finance and Marketing.
Dealerships R.T. Briscoe and Mandilas Motors were honoured as the Most Resilient Auto Companies
Dangote’s Peugeot also got the Most Resilient Auto Brand
GUO Transport Services Company Limited emerged as the Transport Company Of The Year
Personalities honoured at the event included
Seyi Onajide, MD of RT Briscoe and Kunle Jaiyesimi, Deputy Managing Director of CFAO Motors were honoured with the Auto Personality of the Year awards
Posthumous awards went to late Chairman of Globe Motors, Willie Anumudu, and the late Vice President of Coscharis Group, Mrs Charity Maduka, for supporting the growth of Nigeria’s auto industry.
