US Customs intercepts stolen Mercedes cars bound for West Africa, Including $200k Mercedes G63 SUV.
The luxury vehicles valued at more than $400,000, recovered months after being stolen at a Mercedes dealership.
Police have not made any arrests for the thefts, but the cars have been returned to the Mercedes dealership.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents have intercepted three luxury vehicles valued at more than $400,000, months after being reportedly stolen at Bethesda Mercedes dealership.
The stolen vehicles, including a brand new Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV worth $200,000, were discovered at America’s biggest car shipping port inside a shipping container destined for West Africa.
Surveillance cameras shared captured how a team of four skilled thieves whisked away four Mercedes vehicles out of the dealership in roughly 15 minutes.

According to police records, these thefts are among 55,000 auto crimes committed in Montgomery County over the past three years.
7News reports that the shipping container manifest indicated one car was destined for West Africa, but an X-ray scan revealed three cars inside.
Police have not made any arrests for the thefts, according to WJLA, adding that the cars have been returned to the Bethesda Mercedes dealership.
“I couldn’t even believe it. I couldn’t believe it. I figured these were long gone,” Bethesda Euro Motorcars General Manager Jim Willard said.
