Meet the ‘Father of the Year’, Truong Van Dao, who builds replica of famous cars using wood for his son to drive.
His latest project is a drivable wooden replica of Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck, which took him 100 days to complete.
Some of his projects includes replicas of limited-edition Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, the Ford F-150 Raptor, Ferrari GTO 250.
He has also built Bugatti Centodieci, a Lamborghini Sian with butterfly doors, and a Tesla Cybertruck, the latter his latest.
Meet the ‘Father of The Year’, Truong Van Dao, a Vietnamese woodworker and craftsman known for crafting out fully functional wooden replica of world’s most sought-after cars for his beloved son to drive.
His latest project, a wooden replica of Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck, which took him 100 days to complete, is documented on his YouTube channel, ND Woodworking Art.

Just like the original Cybertruck, Van Dao’s replica runs on an electric powertrain. In addition, it has working doors, side mirrors, seats, wipers, and the Tesla yoke steering wheel, all carved out of wood.
Van Dao’s past projects includes replicas of limited-edition Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, the Ford F-150 Raptor, Ferrari GTO 250, a Bugatti Centodieci and Lamborghini Sian Roadster with butterfly doors, the latter took him 65 days to build from scratch.
While he made his past projects for his son to drive, Truong Van Dao offered his latest work, the Tesla Cybertruck, to billionaire Elon Musk as a gift to show his admiration for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tesla and his company’s products.
Sharing a video of the functional wooden Cybertruck on his YouTube he wrote :
“I hope to have the honor of gifting this wooden Cybertruck to you and Tesla, and wish you and Tesla continued success and maintain your position in the international arena.”
