VinFast To Have Another CEO For The Second Time In Less Than 2 Years

The Vietnamese VinFast is in the middle of a not-entirely smooth expansion to the American and European markets, among others. This would be better done under the leadership of someone else than Le Thi Thu Thuy, who was appointed two years ago. She resigns from her work as CEO and continues as chairman of the Board of Directors. This gives her a lot of influence. The fact that Pham, as founder and director of Vingroup, is now taking the reins at VinFast may mean that the parent company thought it was time to intervene. After all, Thuy’s task, among other things, was to market VinFast in the US, and that is not going entirely according to plan. The opening of a US factory has been delayed, and the Vietnam-built cars came under fire after safety watchdog NHTSA deemed them unsafe. However, VinFast now wants to continue, and it was announced last week that five American dealers have been found who want to sell the cars.
