Tesla Records Less Profit In The Second Quarter Of This Year

In the second quarter of this year, Tesla made significantly less profit than in the same quarter of 2023.
Tesla recorded a net profit of almost 1.5 billion dollars, which is the equivalent of around 1.4 billion euros. This meant that the net profit for the second quarter was no less than 45 percent lower than in the second quarter of last year. However, the past quarter was a lot better than the first of this year. Then Tesla recorded a net profit of roughly 1.1 billion dollars.
Tesla’s revenue (25.5 billion dollars) increased by two percent in the second quarter compared to the same quarter last year, but Tesla owes this mainly to increasing revenue from energy storage, among other things. Revenue from car sales, almost 20 billion dollars, decreased by seven percent. However, revenue from car sales in the second quarter was higher than in the first quarter of this year.
In the second quarter, Tesla delivered 443,956 cars worldwide, down 4.8 percent from the same period last year.
