Employees In Some Tesla Showrooms Have Panic Rooms

The attacks on Tesla vehicles and showrooms have led to several follow-up actions. Many Tesla owners are attempting to sell their vehicles, and showroom employees have been provided with a haven. Tesla showrooms now feature panic rooms where staff can retreat in case of confrontations with angry customers.

An internal Tesla document titled “Security for Managers: Threats and Aggression Against Your Team” was obtained by the German newspaper Handelsblatt thanks to a whistleblower.

Tesla has updated some of its showrooms to provide employees with direct access to a private room in case of violence. While it is unclear which showrooms are equipped with these safe rooms, it is worth noting that panic rooms have existed since before 2025, indicating that they were in place prior to the current increase in violence against Tesla.

Tesla cars and showrooms have been targeted by the activities of CEO Elon Musk, who is part of the new US administration led by President Donald Trump. Dozens of Tesla electric vehicles have been shot at, graffitied, and set on fire in locations around the world, leading to some vandals being charged with terrorism offences in the US.
