Xiaomi’s new SkyNomad N90 SUV features rotating front seats to create an in-car ‘living room’.

SkyNomad targets buyers who need one vehicle to cover daily commuting, family travel, and occasional work-from-car use.

Xiaomi Auto has released the first teasers for the upcoming SkyNomad N90 SUV. Positioned as an “intelligent, reconfigurable, large-space SUV”, the N90 is the first model from its second automotive product series, SkyNomad (known in Chinese as Pengcheng).

While its first automotive product—the Xiaomi SU7 and YU7 Series are positioned as “the driver’s car”, Xiaomi said that the SkyNomad targets “buyers who need one vehicle to cover daily commuting, family travel, and occasional work-from-car use”.

The SkyNomad N90 combines an “SUV shape with an MPV cabin”. In its teasers, Xiaomi’s said that N90 will feature a highly flexible layout, including an available sliding and rotating fronts seats, allowing the cabin to transform into a workspace.

“Our answer was to let intelligence define the space, to build a living interior that moves with you,” Lei Jun, Chairman and CEO of Xiaomi, wrote in a post on Weibo while describing Xiaomi’s all-new Kunlun Architecture designed to enable reconfigurable interior space.

In driving mode, the generous room of the N90 SUV will be able to accommodate passengers, luggage, and pets. When parked, Xiaomi said the cabin transform into a ‘studio for one person’, a café for two, a ‘living room for three’, or a ‘playground for the whole family’.

“This shift reflects how people actually use their cars: commuting up to two hours a day, resting in the driver’s seat, working from a parked car, taking the family on a weekend trip, or using the vehicle as a second home while camping. For these owners, a car functions not only as a vehicle but as an extension of your living space, on the move,” Xiaomi said in a release.
